Linking community and technology to enable FAIR data
Project description
The Maastricht Heart+Vascular Center (HVC) is part of the Maastricht UMC+. HVC combines monodisciplinary heart and vascular specialties in one coherent, interdisciplinary organisation. In this model, cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, vascular medicine, vascular neurology and vascular dermatology and their related outpatient clinics and clinical & research activities are fully integrated. Cardiovascular patient care goes hand in hand with ground-breaking research and scientific education.
"The collaboration with DataHub enables the Maastricht Heart+Vascular Center to safely store research data and to find and recombine these data for reuse in future ground-breaking research." |
Themes
CollaborationHVC closely collaborates with DataHub to make sure that in the near future research data generated at HVC comply to the FAIR principles. HVC collaborates in the development of a datacounter. | FindabilityHVC built a showcase datacounter in DISQOVER, which is a first step towards a datacounter that meets the researchers needs as much as possible. Addition of metadata with SNOMED CT ontology enables HVC to find and combine data from studies which measured similar variables. |
