Linking community and technology to enable FAIR data
Regulations on research data management have been defined by governments, funding agencies and research institutions. Briefly, it comes down to the fact that research data must be properly documented, archived, retrievable and accessible to researchers at Maastricht UMC+ and/or companies by way of (infrastructural) provisions for a sufficient period of time. Compliance with these guidelines and other additional faculty guidelines is the primary responsibility of the researcher. The faculty dean is responsible for monitoring and ensuring this compliance within the faculty.
At DataHub, we aim to offer compliant services in order to take over some of these primary responsibilities and ease the burden on the researcher. Maastricht University follows the codes of conduct of the VSNU in the fields of education, research and business operations. Maasticht UMC+ has written its own Research Code.
