Persistent identifiers ensure the findability of your data

Persistent identifiers (PIDs) ensure that the data's reference path remains intact, even if data location, URL or underlying infrastructure change.
Every data set uploaded to DataHub automatically gets assigned with a PID.

Ensure the findability of your data, now and always

The most well known provider of persistent identifiers is the Digital Object Identifier (DOI). At DataHub, we offer a similar PID service, provided by SURFsara and the European Persistent Identifier Consortium (ePIC). The so called ePIC PID is assigned to every data set uploaded to DataHub. You can cite a dataset by using a PID (data citation).
