Simple storage

If you are not working with identifiable human data it only takes a few steps to get access to the appropriate storage systems. You can request access by following the next steps:

  1. Fill out and submit this Request new DataHub project form
  2. We will setup your environment accordingly and send you the link
  3. Every data set uploaded to DataHub automatically gets assigned with a PID
  4. Read our getting started guides and start using your storage

Start using our storage facilities


SMART storage

A webpage and a network drive

You control access to your data via a webpage and we store your data on a network attached storage facility. DataHub provides several types of storage facilities, each with their own unique features mainly focused on a SMART combination of costs, performance and duration. As every research and all data are different you need to write a data management plan (DMP). Based on your DMP and the proper informed consent you can start using the storage facility.

Request your storage facility


Together with you, we configure this storage facility to your specific needs. That is why you have to take the following steps to activate your storage:
  1. Create a Data Management Plan ( How to create a Data Management Plan)
  2. Request via mail a review of your DMP by one of our data stewards
  3. Depending on the informed consent and de-identification processes we will setup your environment accordingly and send you the link
  4. Read our getting started guides and start using your storage
