 Using labels

What are labels?

Labels are key words that you can add to pages and attachments to make them easier to group and find. For example, you could assign the label privacy to all privacy-related pages on the DataHub portal. You can then browse all pages with that label in a single space or across the portal, display a list of pages with that label, or search based on the label.

How to use labels on the DataHub portal

Any created page in the DataHub portal needs to have at least one label.

  • In case you create a FAQ page, the label faq is obligatory as well.
  • In case you create a How To page, the label howto is obligatory as well.
  • In case you choose the label groups, you always need to add a label indicating the kind and type of the group
    (e.g. group-maastricht-projectgroup).

All other labels can be used optional. The available labels are mentioned in the column on the right side of this page. Please do not create or invent new labels. In case you want to add a new label, because you think this suits better than the available labels, please send an e-mail to datahub@maastrichtuniversity.nl

Label a page

Any user with permission to edit a page can add labels to it. Any existing labels appear at the bottom-right of the page, below the page content.
